1. How was I cast?- I attended two auditions and an interview for the series.

2. How different/similar am I to Mr. R?- I think I am a lot different than the character. Mr. R. didn't have much of a sense of humor. I like to think that I do. Also, Mr. R. seemed very determined in life (he did work for the promotion to VP). He was definitely "upwardly mobile"; whereas I think that is much less of a priority in my own life.

3. Do I see any cast members? - Well, funny you should mention it... the day before you sent this email, I did run into Pat (Joey) on Bloor Street in Toronto. We have talked on the phone since and I am hoping to have him appear as a guest in my new series.

4. Does news or updates get to us? - I can't say for sure what PWT is doing to keep the cast informed. I do not receive anything like a newsletter. Perhaps the kids do. I know that the PWT Foundation is still going strong.

5. Where did I go to college? - I attended Humber Theatre. A 3 year acting course at Humber College in Toronto.

6. Do I keep in touch? - Not really. Although I have continued to keep in touch with Kit and Lynda.

7. Who did I socialize with? - Mostly with the crew. Although that was difficult because when the cast is relaxing, the crew is in full flight getting ready for the next shot. Deborah Loban and I did spend time together as did Michelle Goodeve when we were between takes. Of the younger cast, I would have to say I was closest with Neil, Pat, Stacey, the twins, Siluck and Nicole ( in the early years).

8. Did any of the cast like or dislike each other? - I couldn't say for sure. There were no incidents that I was aware of.

9. Did all the adults get along? - I saw very little of the adult cast members. Only on the odd occasion would we be in on the same shooting day. I often had to introduce myself to other adult cast members at social functions. The only adults I had semi- regular contact with were Adam, Roger, Michelle, and Deborah. Deborah and I had the same agent so we would spend time off the shoot.

10. How was working with Linda, Kit, Sari, & Yan? - They were all terrific to work with. They were all professional and skilled at their jobs and functions.

11. Did Kya Levy really have Spina Bifida? - I am not sure what ailment Kyra had. She did require devices when she first joined the cast.

12. Do you know the reason why Playing With Time split? - Not for certain. I only know that Kit and Linda did live together and that their relationship broke up.

13. Do people recognize you as Mr. Raditch? Do you still look the same as when you were on Degrassi (mustache?) - On occasion people will recognize me from Degrassi. I have added to the hair since the series, I have a full beard now that I grew just over a year ago.

14. What was your favourite episode, if you have one? - I have many favorites, for a number of different reasons. I enjoyed The Experiment because it gave me my first chance to play the character with some dimension. I also liked the first episode of Degrassi High because my presence there was not expected by the other characters or the audience. There were episodes that I did very little in and still enjoy watching to this day. They were all extremely well written.

15. If your two daughters would want to go into acting, would you encourage or discourage them? - That's a tough one. I think that if my kids wanted to be actors, I would have no choice but to support the decision. I would hope that I could be of assistance to them so they could benefit from my experience.

16. Do you know of any other Degrassi actors that were siblings (besides Anna and Cathy Keenan and Dorothy and Duncan Waugh???) - The twins!

17. Were Sarah and Christpher Charlesworth siblings? - I'm not sure.

18. I heard Neve Campbell and her brother Christopher played extras, is this true? How did Neve get so popular while the others remained more less sensationalized......Was it because she may have had agents who sent her to the USA, or was it a fluke that she became more commercial? - I do not know if Nev Campbell appeared in Degrassi. But, who knows why one makes it big and another doesn't? But I can tell you that being an actor and being a star are not always the same thing!!

19. If Nicole Stoffman would have stayed on as Stephanie Kaye, do you think she would maintain her popularity in the series, or was her popularity fading? - I enjoyed Nicole very much. She was a terrific kid and I am sure she is happy doing what ever she is doing now. I know that her popularity was not fading. In fact it was just the opposite. That is why she was offered Learning The Ropes. She was the first star to come out of the series... kind of like our version of Chevy Chase!

20. When she left for Learning the Ropes, do you think she had regrets. - I know she was sad to leave the cast and that it was a difficult decision for her to make. But, I can't say if she has regrets over it.

I hope that I have given you the kind of answers you were looking for. In reference to the rest of the questions, I really can't comment on the policies of PWT. Or whether cast members are receiving royalties. Those would be issues between PWT and the individual actors.

Thanks again for your interest in how we are all doing. If I can be of any further help, please contact me at your convenience. Thanks for contacting me and stay in touch!!

Best regards,

Dan Woods

A+ Excellent Work!!
