1. Tell me about yourself. how old, occupation, where
you live?

My name is Einat and i'm 27 years old. my occupation
is a part time secretary in a computer company for a
bank, but I'm also studying at evening programming and
web master course.
I am from Israel.

2. Why did you want to put up a site (or page) devoted
to something about Neil Hope?

Ever since I was a kid, during my teens days back in
the 80's it was when I first watched degrassi. they
aired the show when it also started in Canada.

Back than, I was a very shy person (when I was in
junior high and in high school) and I didn't like my
own school. I mean some of the children. When I first
watched degrassi it helped me a lot to deal with some
of teens problems and I wanted to thank them.

I started to watched degrassi again after my brother's
death. he died in 1996 and it was very difficult for
me.
I wanted to remember about good things when I was a
teen and degrassi was one of them.
I started to search the net for information about
degrassi and I found few sites. David Nashtir's site,
Mark and Natalite Earl sites.
They were very good, but I wanted that my site will be
different, so David convince me to make a tribute page
to Neil Hope. Neil Hope was my favorite actor from
Degrassi. he did a great role for his dramatic
character Wheels. I could relate to some of Neil's/
Wheels problems. His character was real. well, he made
it real.
I looked for information about Neil, but there wasn't
any, so I tried to put a site with what I could. I
only had few information and about the show in
general. during that time, it was 1997 there wasn't
information about degrassi in stores, so it took me a
long time to find information, but finally after a
year, I put something to my site. I wanted that my
site also will be for fans, so I added a page devoted
to fans opinions and thoughts. I send a lot of emails
to fans and I received a lot of emails, about 50, but
I choose only 25 or 27 thoughts about degrassi.
I know that degrassi is only a show, but after I
search the net from 1997 I found out that there other
fans that degrassi helped them as it help me and my
page is a kind of way to say thank you, degrassi
showed me a way of how to continue with my teen
problems.

I also wanted to bring back that show, so that old
fans and new fans, teens will see it again and maybe
it could help to some of other fans or maybe it can be
for just entertainment.


3. How did you finally decide to put it up?

I finally put my site up in 1998, and since than i'm
trying to change it a bit. to make it more
interesting.
I did most of my page alone, and David and Mark only
gave me their opinions and advice.

4. Have you gotten emails from Degrassi cast and crow?

Well, when I first started to search the net and work
on my site, it was back in 1998, 1999, I received one
email from degrassi teacher, but I didn't add his
email to my site, because I didn't believe that it was
him. during that time, Pat Mastroianni did a site too,
and he visit my site and again I couldn't believe that
it was him, everyone can say I am Pat or Neil, you
can't trust the net 100%, you will need to make sure
it's true. but, in Pat's case, it was him.
only today, Neil Hope return and he sign my guest book
and reply to one of my emails, but i'm not in touch
with any of degrassi cast. I just in touch in general,
just want to see what there are going to do next, in
their acting career, nothing else.
I would like to try to help them as much as I can, and
the only thing I can try to do since I live in Israel,
make them homepages, since i'm studying it and have
some experience. If I can help, it will be like that
show helped me back than, when I was  a kid. it's mean
a lot to me, just to see what's happen to them.

5. Any future plans for your Degrassi site?

Not really. it will be the same.
